This position is responsible for management reporting relating to Manulife Hong Kong, involve in the forecasting process, analysis and management reporting activities relating to the business. This role is accountable for providing oversight for accurate, timely, and relevant monthly, quarterly and annual management reports, also work closely with Senior Management Team in Hong Kong office, to deliver all financial requirements of the business.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Qualified accountant (CA or CPA)
  • +7 years of finance/accounting experience and prior exposure in insurance industry
  • Willing to take ownership and follow-through
  • Strong analytical skills, able to work under pressure, dynamic working environment and multi-tasking
  • Enjoy interacting with others and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good team player and able to deal with large quantity of data with high accuracy and tight timeline
  • With adequate business acumen
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

On the job you will:

1. Management Reporting and Analysis

Work closely with Regional Controllers and other business leadership team to continue provide accurate, timely basis, and refine as necessary, management reports and associated analysis. Continue to provide and refine financial analysis and commentary required to provide management with comprehensive insight into the financial dynamics of all aspects of the business.

2. Forecasts and Plan

Coordinate the preparation of the Forecasts for the key metric.  As part of the planning and forecasting process, the incumbent will be required to provide in-depth analysis, issue identification and actual tracking against the Forecast and Plan. Works closely with Senior Management and business unit representatives to manage the timeline, deliverables, and analysis associated with the forecast and plan.

3. Special Projects

Special projects will arise from time to time that will require strong financial expertise, detailed analysis of financial information, systems implementation knowledge or technology-related solutions.  The incumbent may be expected to provide insight and understanding of the nature of the project and may be expected to take a central role in managing such projects in Hong Kong, if any.
