Job Description

Salary:

£50,132 to £58,089 per annum. (pro-rata if part time) together with USS pension benefits, if required.
The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the scale with annual increments on 1 October each year (subject to completing six months service).

The Role:

The Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Management, Swansea University is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Accounting/ Financial Management with excellence in research to the School of Management.

The successful candidate will be an excellent and committed teacher as well as a researcher with an international reputation. The successful candidate will be expected to expand their own research activities and be capable of linking with existing research areas and research teams in the School and if appropriate with other Schools or disciplines. They will also need to sustain and develop their own portfolio of funded projects, as well as maintain fruitful interactions and collaborations with industry and others where appropriate. The appointee will seek to operate at an international level and publish research in top journals.

This job provides a role for a candidate with extensive academic experience and an established national and/or international reputation or its equivalent in terms of reach, significance and impact in Accounting/Financial Management.

The job also requires a contribution to teaching and graduate supervision across the School, in addition to School management responsibilities.
