THE OPPORTUNITY
DLA Piper's Litigation and Regulatory team are skilled in litigation, arbitration, investigations and alternative disputes resolution. We have the local knowledge to apply context to legal issues and develop case strategies. Our global reach allows us to provide you with an international platform to work on complex and interesting cases. 
Representing multi-national clients in commercial disputes and arbitrations, this role will have an opportunity to work across a variety of industries in Hong Kong, the PRC, the UK and Asia. The successful candidate will have proven case management skills and be given the opportunity to work independently under expert guidance. 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Conducting brief or somewhat more complex research, depending on client needs
  • Managing deal teams and processes from initial discussions through closing and post-closing matters
  • Primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel and other transactional legal teams
  • Assisting clients with ongoing deal administration 
  • Managing and conducting due diligence
  • Providing direct assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day-to-day to service domestic/international clients 
  • Attending and presenting educational seminars
  • Exercising good judgment in internal and external written and verbal communications
  • Mentoring and training of junior team-members 
  • Attend continuing education classes and contribute to client development initiatives
ABOUT YOU
  • Excellent written and verbal English and Mandarin is essential
  • 4+ years' PQE
  • Hong Kong qualified 
  • Hands on experience of managing cases independently
  • Exposure to broad commercial litigation and arbitration 
  • Litigation experience within an international or local firm 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to draft court documents with minimal supervision
