Our story

gyro was born ten and a half years ago with a mission to create ideas that are humanly relevant for B2B brands.

A lot has changed since 2010.

We’ve grown around the world to become the most awarded B2B creative agency, and been listed as Global B2B Agency of the Year six times. We’ve been acquired by dentsu, and now call ourselves Merkle B2B — alongside B2B International, Digital Pi, DWA, and Merkle.

But one thing hasn’t changed for us; we’re still all about developing breakthrough creative ideas — and making sure we’re a place people want to work and invent them. We know this to be true because in 2021 we had more new clients ask us for them than ever before in our history.

And now we’re looking for ways to make those creative ideas matter more, to the people that matter most — by architecting the ultimate B2B customer experience.

So we are looking for a B2B Creative Leader to grow our B2B creative practice across the region. Someone who will set our vision as a group and champion what excellence in B2B communications and experience means — and how it acts as an amplifier for other disciplines like media, technology, and optimisation.

This leader will be working with and guiding Creative Strategists, Designers, and Copywriters; as well as Data Analysts, Media Planners and Developers from other areas of the B2B Group — connecting the dots between disciplines with concepts that bring the customer journey to life in more engaging ways. A mind for the complexities and nuances of communications in the business-to-business sector, and experience in or around multi-disciplinary design would be an advantage.

Ideas never come nicely packaged and ready to go. And while having a process can be useful in agency, it’s generally passion that truly leads the work. And that passion can come from anyone in the team. So we’re looking for someone who knows how to identify where those fledgling ideas lie — and develop them and the people imagining them, in the fullest way.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with regional leadership to define the creative point of view for our agency.
  • Set the standard for integrated creative and experience design within the B2B Group, across Asia Pacific
  • Lead and inspire the business in ideation and concept development, to deliver creative excellence that delights our clients and effectiveness that grows their business
  • Devise points of view that help differentiate our B2B creative capabilities and expertise
  • Attract the necessary talent, and nurture members of the team as the business continues to grow
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive culture
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant leaders in other dentsu brands
  • Support new business initiatives as and when required
  • Be an active member of the Asia Pacific management team

Person Specification

  • Extensive knowledge of creative and digital practices
  • A critical thinker that understands the practices of customer experience design, and customer lifecycle marketing
  • Experience in the technology; banking, finance, and insurance; and professional services sectors advantageous
  • Familiarity with market diversity in Asia Pacific — from New Zealand to India
  • Fluent in the modern media landscape, and B2B activation tactics
  • Familiar with enterprise marketing clouds, and the common products that comprise a business’ tech stack
  • A clear and convincing communicator — creating clarity, and bringing energy
  • A track record of winning business and building respected relationships with senior stakeholders; within our own organisation, and with clients
  • Previous roles likely to include CCO, ECD, CD, Head of CX/XD
