Overall Job Description
+ Supervises BA/QA staff to produce effective IT solutions.
+ Mentors and is sought out by less experienced associates for product and application analysis knowledge.
+ Supervises a team in a support or operational environment.
+ Participates in the interview/selection process, provides training and mentorship, offers career development guidance, and is engaged in performance management.
+ Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of technology when interfacing with the development staff or the project team.
+ Translates and documents functional requirements into proper system requirement specifications.
+ Estimates project scope, required resources, and project efforts.
+ Plans and prioritizes work to meet business unit commitments aligned with company goals and financial responsibilities.
+ Delivers operational results that align with department commitments.
+ Provides technical guidance and direction concerning the business implications of the application of various systems.
+ Provides supervision of staff which can be engaged in software testing, system statistical measurement, process improvement, test methodologies, test automation, and tool development activities and planning.
+ Plans and leads multiple, comprehensive, cross-functional software testing initiatives.
+ Provides guidance to customers on testing strategies and is accountable for defining internal test strategies and methodologies.
+ Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved for implementation/conversion.
+ Analyzes test results and recommends corrective action that adheres to company objectives.
+ Ensures project deadlines and client expectations are met by assigned staff members.
+ Acts in a team lead capacity for projects.
+ Team lead duties include project administration tasks such as tracking and assigning work to others, facilitating meetings, and producing and delivering project communications and reports.
+ Develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.
+ Facilitates the development, storage, and regular review of product standards and procedures.
+ Facilitates process improvement initiatives.
+ Defines high-level system metrics and gathers and reports system statistics, which includes researching and reporting explanations for major trend fluctuations/anomalies.
+ Applies and enforces guidelines to ensure compliance and equitable application of policies, procedures, practices, programs, processes, and systems and makes suggestions for continued improvement or increased efficiencies.
+ Establishes and communicates common goals and direction for the team.
+ Acts as a resource for functional direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or other related fields.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in Senior Business Analyst, Senior Quality Analyst, Team Lead.
+ Strong financial knowledge, good relevant to equity and derivatives trading business background, or experience in securities brokerage business.
+ Good knowledge of the Software Development Life cycle and the role of the Business Analyst and Quality Analyst e.g. requirement gathering, requirement analysis, system testing, regression testing.
+ Experience in functional specification preparation, functional test case preparation, functional test execution, and user manual preparation on large and complex projects.
+ Experience in software test plan/test script preparation, system/regression test execution, and test automation on large and complex projects.
+ Maintains a high degree of knowledge regarding software testing, test automation, and test methodologies.
+ Works independently or team; receives minimal guidance. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions, identifies new solutions using a broad perspective and understanding.
+ Good analytical, research, and problem solving skills.
+ Self-motivated and result-oriented. Strong time management skills, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadline.
