Business Intelligence & Data Engineer Role

AutoGrid's Business Intelligence (BI) Data Engineering team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer who can support and enhance our existing Data Warehouse and BI Platform. Have a say in implementing cutting edge Big Data technologies and deploy them in production.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new integrations and processes required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of data sources using HiveQL and 'Big Data' technologies.
  2. Design our data models for optimal storage and retrieval and to meet critical product and business requirements.
  3. Performs root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  4. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements and foster data-driven decision making across the organization.
  5. Implements processes and systems to validate data, monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
  6. End-to-end Data Warehouse Automation

Technical Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in writing, testing and maintaining applications developed in  Python, Bash, SQL, Scala
  • Experience with Data Visualization such as Tableau is core requirement. 
  • Knowledge in software design patterns is a must.
  • Strong exposure to Data Warehousing using Big Data Stack using Hadoop
  • Advance SQL, preferably HQL ( Hive Query Language )
  • Hadoop Framework ( Hive, HBase, Oozie, Sqoop, HDFS )
  • Data Pipeline development, Data Analytics and Big Data
  • Custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies
  • Data Warehouse Automation
  • Cloud Data Warehousing Technology ( AWS, EMR, S3 )
  • Shell Scripting
  • Relational Databases ( MySQL )
