The Dining Room 80 seat restaurant, by awarded design studio Hecker Guthrie, features one of the region's finest chefs Ayhan Erkoc and a FOH service delivery to match.
The Food and Beverage department extends to conferencing, weddings, Cellar Door, and the servicing of a busy Hotel.
About The Role:
Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this role is key in delivering an industry defining breakfast product to our Leisure, meetings & events and wedding guests.
Covid normal has opened opportunity for us to deliver a creative plated proposition that reflects our award winning food from The Dining Room. Ideally you can take the lead on breakfast Monday through Friday morning. Otherwise, we are open to recruiting two casual Chefs to manage these shifts.
About You:To be successful in this role it is ESSENTIAL that you have:
Certificate III in Commercial cookery (minimum)
3 years post apprenticeship
Experience in a similar role in an a la carte hotel restaurant or functions kitchen with demonstrated capacity of 80 covers consistently will be highly regarded
Planning and organisational skills
Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high quality food
An understanding of food safety and HACCP principle
Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment
Initiative and be a team player
Good personal presentation
Self-motivation, can do attitude
