Builder (Training Example WFW Test)

Job Description

David Weekley Homes is looking for enthusiastic people with five years residential building experience to join our (Construction Management/Superintendent) Builder team in the greater West Houston metro area. 

The successful candidate will be able to deliver a quality home as well as a quality home buying experience to our customers. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Managerial oversight of homes, planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of quality built homes from development through final construction on a timely & economical basis per Weekley standards, while maintaining a low cost variance
• Building rapport with customers and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the building process
• Coordinating and completing homebuyer reviews
• Managing and inspecting the quality of work that is performed by subcontractors
• Working closely with the sales team, as well as all other Weekley team members
• Maintain a professional, clean and organized job site
• Involvement in selection, coordination, oversight & management of people, materials, budgets, schedules & contracts
• Oversee worker productivity & compliance with building/safety codes
• Understand contracts, plans, construction methods & regulations
• Prepare reports and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior residential production building experience is required, 2+ years of field management preferred
• Experience scheduling, supervising and motivating subcontractors
• Experience in effectively communicating with and interacting with customers, as well as a sales team
• Prior experience in handling subcontractor payroll and other budgetary responsibilities
• Proven leadership ability
• College education preferred
