 What you’ll do:

Due to strategic growth, we are looking for a Building Services Manager. This role requires an expert who can drive success through strong market positioning, operational excellence and exceptional commercial acumen.

A multi-faceted role, your support, guidance and your astute outlook on what a successful business looks like will steer the success of our team and our standing as a world class consultancy.

Critical measures will include:

• Collaborating and supporting our National Building Services Team, promoting a ‘one national team’ ethos, sharing resources, knowledge and expertise across the whole business including our Manila team.
• Being part of and sitting on the Building Services National Executive Committee (ExCo)
• Partnering with Industry Leads and client facing representatives across WSP to ensure full implementation of market and client strategies; creating high levels of client services and opportunities
• Identifying Business Development opportunities
• Driving and increasing business revenue
• Leading with vision and innovation to inspire our employees
• Creating a culture that creates a high performing team of technical and entrepreneurial thinkers
• Ensuring that operational outcomes are achieved within our governance, ethics and business systems frameworks.
• Creating a truly engaged workforce, where capability is continually matched and developed to our strategy and pipeline framework
• Assisting with Commercials in financial monitoring and forecasting for the Business Unit
• Being responsible for financial performance of the business unit in accordance with the budget for net revenue and operating margin
• Leading and fostering a good safety culture to ensure the safety and well-being of all staff within the team

This will be graded against the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent.
• Professional Chartership/registration within jurisdiction, highly desirable
• Typically, 8+ years’ of Building Services experience, working in the local Australian market
• Some proven experience in a management capacity, overseeing the profitability of the team
• Expert and confidence in all aspects of business development
• High level of leadership, client and people management skills
