THE POSITION

The iRobot EMEA business is a large contributor to iRobot’s revenue and growing rapidly.  In seven of these markets, we hold direct relationships with retailers. An outstanding Senior Business Analysis Manageris required to help shape and support the next chapter of growth in these retail markets by taking ownership for and delivering on 4 areas of responsibilities:

Business Reporting

  • Build, improve, and maintain regional sales performance dashboards with KPIs across markets and retailers (incl. monthly market and competitive data, weekly retailer sell-through, sales incentive plans tracker).

  • Liaise with regional finance (FP&A and Accounting) and local Sales Forecasting Managers to ensure timely sharing of key information and full cross-functional alignment.

  • Support VP of Sales in creating presentation materials to support internal quarterly business reviews, client meetings and annual budgetary processes.

Research & analysis: support strategic decision-making process at senior management level by generating actionable insights from a variety of sources.

  • Support VP of Sales in strategic planning by building analytical models and “what if” scenarios and formulating synthetic and well-articulated recommendations that inform specific decisions such as how to grow/transition channel/client base.

  • Develop a business partner relationship with the Consumer Insights manager to ensure relevant information is shared with Sales management and local teams.

  • Build and provide sales forecast/projections and analysis. In partnership with FP&A, build a process to routinely identify performance and forecast problems, variances, and/or opportunities; take ownership for recommending rectifications and solutions.

Continuous improvement of key sales processes

  • Support the sales management team in its transformation journey towards becoming a data-driven, analytics led organization.

  • Partner with the Enterprise Project Management Organization to:

    • Document existing sales planning and strategy processes, policies, and procedures.

    • With the sales management team, identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Capture and document change requirements, and

    • Deliver on the implementation of new processes and tools that preserve data integrity, speed up decision processes, and improve sales performance (e.g. new reports and dashboards, sales force automation tools, sales forecasting tool, returns management… including defining, documenting and driving the implementation of new business processes).

  • Support sales & marketing in delivering fundamental improvements in optimizing

    • Terms and Conditions.

    • Line-up and pricing definition.

    • Promotional calendars.

    • Promotional spend (pricing investments and retail marketing activities).

    • Selective Distribution Agreements.

Leadership support: Assist VP of Sales in various internal/external ad hoc matters.

The role will report to the EMEA VP of Sales and be a highly visible position with significant scope for autonomy and career progression.

The position will interact daily with teams and leaders throughout the organization to help deliver performance against various Core Values Metrics. The individual will need to buildstrong relationships with the wider EMEA business departments (Senior Leadership Team, Market Sales Directors, Key Account Managers, Sales Forecast Managers, Regional marketing & digital marketing, iRobot.com, Finance, Supply Chain). The Sr. Business Analysis Manager will be expected to:

  • think outside of the box,

  • be self-driven, proactive, and take ownership of the projects they will be entrusted with,

  • demonstrate the ability to stay organized and participate in multiple projects at the same time,

  • be flexible in embracing uncertainty and agile to adapt to a fast-moving environment,

  • be a good team player and display strong collaboration and listening skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or MBA.

  • Previous experience in Business Analysis, preferably acquired at top tech consumer goods company, or 2Y at consulting firm. Specialized online experience an important plus.

  • Candidates will show a high degree of cultural sensitivity and be skilled in interpreting the demands of iRobot and customers alike.

  • Fluent English plus other European languages (ideally German) are desirable.

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

  • Advanced technical skills. Excellent documentation skills.

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. BI/ERP experience a plus.

  • A track record of following through on commitments. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. A history of leading and supporting successful projects. This person must be honest and robust in style (i.e. he/she should not be afraid to voice opinions). Other personal characteristics of this individual will include high levels of enthusiasm, team success ambitions, together with an appetite for a fast-paced way of working and a can-do attitude.
