Position Description

Business Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our Business Analysis team across Europe with an additional IT Business Analyst to be based in Madrid, Spain.

Reporting into the EMEA Senior Business Analyst this roles main focus will be gathering requirements and documenting them for testing for a  portfolio of projects, identifying business technology and/or process & information opportunities, working with business and IT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budgets.

Major/Key Accountabilities:

  • Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting and documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, usability requirements analysis and usability evaluation.
  • Identifying and obtaining agreement on the requirements/features which will be most beneficial to the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with agreed best practices by selecting appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications.
  • Identifying and raising issues impacting the execution of strategic/operational/ project plans.
  • Understanding overall Enterprise Architecture and assess the degree of conformance of existing and new business processes.
  • Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements.
  • Influencing team and specialist peers internally, customers at account level and suppliers.
  • Making decisions which influence the success of projects and team objectives.
  • Demonstrating an analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicating fluently orally and in writing, presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitating collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives.
  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring work to meet time and quality targets and in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
  • Rapidly absorbing new technical information and applying it effectively.
  • Appreciating of the wider field of information systems, their use in relevant employment areas and how they relate to the business activities.
  • Maintaining an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes some responsibility for personal development.


Business analysis experience of Information Technology (IT) projects through the end-to-end Project Lifecycle.
Extensive requirements and testing experience

Previous experience managing and influencing technical teams.

Customer focus.

Skills & Knowledge:

Stakeholder relationship management

Business process testing; User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression Testing.

Business Analysis; gathering and documenting requirements, design test scripts and execution of testing phase.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Commercially focused

Data Analysis

Business user analysis

Technical and business knowledge; CRM [example: Siebel, Salesforce] and SAP
