Overview of job

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join us for a 12 month Maternity Leave contract . In this role, y ou will work as the product owner for the digital workflow tool used within our business , along with leading a number of business and industry level projects across all media types . This role requires you to build relationships and communicate with all levels of the business and suppliers , managing both internal and external stakeholders . You will work day to day with the business to understand and prioritise the business needs and provide business support . As part of your work across various projects, you will be involved in requirements gathering, user acceptance testing through to documentation and business process and application implementation.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Media Systems Manager.

In this role, your goals will be:
In 3 months you would have :

  • Gained a solid understanding of media processes and systems at GroupM – with a key focus on digital
  • Become confident in managing the digital planning and buying system and seen as the expert on the system; answering queries from local agencies and regional teams
  • Built relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Gained an understanding and can follow the business and project process at GroupM inc luding standard documentation

In 6 months you would have :

  • L ed and manage d projects autonomously
  • I dentif ied and prioritise d opportunities for projects and enhancements to new and existing systems/products /processes
  • Key contact for all Digital projects 

In 12 months you would have:

  • Closed off multiple projects successfully with documentation in place
  • Completed documentation and updates on any outstanding projects for handover

W hat your day job looks like at GroupM :

  • Make yourself breakfast supplied by the company
  • Answer user support queries
  • Meet with agency staff to understand an issue they have with an existing process. Determine if changes are needed to the process , if additional data needs to be set up in the system to meet their needs or if we need to brief the vendor for development work.
  • Help user s with application integration issues and set up required data mappings
  • Approve new system code request s to ensure they fit in with the data quality structure of the applications we manage
  • Chase up for approvals on a range of new processes being implemented
  • Update and distribute application usage documentation to reflect a process change


What you’ll bring:

Essential

  • A strong media background with digital media experience
  • A positive, s olution orientated attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Strong sense of accountability with an ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Highly Regarded

  • Skills in business process mapping and requirements gathering with the ability to identify and investigate issues and raise development ideas
  • Understanding of user acceptance testing processes and ability to coordinate and conduct testing
  • Experience in new business process implementation including documentation and training material preparation
  • Prior experience in running end user training
  • Ability to question & challenge users at all levels with confidence, to arrive at a clear and unambiguous view of requirements
  • P roduct management and third party software vendor management would be preferable but not required
