The person should be self-starter with ability to do hands-on work with little or no supervision or

guidance. He/she is expected to have formal educational qualifications in quantitative

methods/operations research/statistics. Experience in the travel and transportation industry in the

areas of revenue management, pricing, and scheduling is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop business requirements and product specifications

- Translate business requirements/specifications into use cases

- Interface between product management team in Dallas, Texas and the development and QA

teams in India

- Ensure that product meets the specifications through final review

- Work with development team to implement forecasting and optimization models that are part

of the RTS Profit Optimization software suite. This involves data collection, data analysis,

forecasts calibration, optimization model tuning, etc.

- Support Sales teams in new business development efforts – demos, benchmarking analysis,

presentations, and RFP support


Educational Qualifications

- Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Quantitative business

analysis/operations management

Other Skills

- Excellent Word, Excel, and Power Point skills

- Basic knowledge and experience with forecasting and optimization packages such as Cplex and


- SQL and .Net programming is a plus

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


- About 3 to 5 years experience

- OR/forecasting models in logistics and transportation

- Revenue management, pricing, and scheduling in the travel and transportation industry

- Successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

- Ability to work with remote global teams as well experience in working across teams/individuals

from various functional areas
