About the team

The office under the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Office of Digital Strategy, Engagement and Architecture (ODSEA), drive the priorities of the CIO. The functions include engaging with the department on potential digital solutions, communicate those services to the department and assist the divisional executive on the prioritisation of work across the division.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated, proactive individual to work in a busy team. Candidates should be comfortable in a dynamic fast moving environment. Experience with stakeholder engagement is required, and experience in iterative and agile development and user centred digital service delivery is desirable. In order to be successful in this role, interested staff should:

  • have experience engaging with clients and analysing their business process
  • have experience working on user-centric design and development initiatives
  • demonstrate the ability to produce business-focussed user stories and process flows.

What you will do

In the office under the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Office of Digital Strategy, Engagement and Architecture (ODSEA), the responsibilities of this role are to assist with:

  • meeting with areas of the department inquiring about Digital Strategy and Operations services
  • investigation and analysis of business process
  • providing possible solutions to business process through that analysis
  • providing, with the assistance of the Enterprise Architecture function, options for possible digital solutions
  • having an awareness of the services provided by Digital Strategy and Operations
  • helping to drive the concept of Portfolio Management across the division
  • assisting the divisional executive with managing and prioritising work across the division

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.

Security Clearance

This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.

The position is based in Canberra.
