Overview of job

The e-commerce business analyst responsibilities include increasing the efficiency of the company's online sales by undertaking various researches and cost-benefit analysis. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and understanding the e-commerce needs and requirements of the clients as well as the companies. You will be responsible for gathering internal and external client business specifications. You will work with the internal e-commerce and web development teams to analyze and design the e-commerce solutions to meet the business objectives.

You will be responsible for working over the entire project development life-cycle which generally starts from the elicitation of business requirements to the testing and go-live of the system. The main objective of an e-commerce business analyst is to deliver the functional design specifications to meet the specified business objectives of the project. You will also be responsible for coordinating the entire staff indulged in handling the project by preparing and leading the coordination meetings. You will specify various strategies for completing the project and also identifies the data flow.

You will also assists the project manager in following up and prioritizing the development. You will carry out processes to validate the functionalities developed with the various participants. Preparing and maintaining of documents, procedures, user guides, and business processes is another important job responsibility of an e-commerce business analyst. Designing and documenting the user manuals is also undertaken by the business analyst. You may also undertake various training sessions to train the future trainers as needed.

Measures of success:

In three months:

  • Get acquitainted with all the stake holders who are indulged in handling various businesses
  • Get to understand the analytics requirements and the data flow asscoated with each project

In six months:

  • Key coordinator of all all projects by preparing project details and leading the coordination meeting
  • Develop and share various strategy to facilitate the completion of the projects .
  • Prreparing and documents procedures, user guides and business processes

In 12 months:

  • Validation of functionalities developed for various project participants and clients
  • Designing and documenting users manuals
