In Australia and Timor-Leste our exciting portfolio includes the Bayu-Undan gas-condensate field in the Timor Sea, Darwin LNG facility in the Northern Territory and Australia Pacific LNG facility in Queensland.   We also have exploration and appraisal projects off northern Australia including the Greater Poseidon and Barossa.

The Opportunity

Due to exciting projects & growth, ConocoPhillips Australia has multiple long-term contract opportunities available in Perth, Western Australia within our Finance Department. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Business Analysts (BA) & Financial Accountants (FA) to join us and build on our success for immediate and future term needs.

Qualifications

 

The Person

As a finance professional you will possess the following skills and characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CA or CPA membership
  • 5 - 10 year’s experience in accounting / audit
  • Experience in use of SAP or similar integrated financial accounting package
  • Proficient in use of Excel with demonstrable modelling experience
  • Understanding of budget management
  • Understanding of purchasing and accounts payable processes
  • Understanding of US GAAP oil& gas accounting standards would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

The BA & FA positions will be offered on an initial 12-24 month basis. Successful candidates will be employed by our partnering agencies.
