Job Description

Aboriginal Home Care provides culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout Australia, including domestic assistance, personal care, social/community and transportation thus enabling them to live independently in their homes.


What we are looking for:
• You will be required to support efficient and effective operations at Branch level, across the whole of NSW. Including supporting Branch Managers, maximising billable hours and ensuring the way of working is effective and sustainable.
• Identify as Aboriginal or have an awareness of working with this culture.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team as well as leadership skills.
• A flexible approach to work locations, including travel.
• Be able to lead the implementation and/or management of the funding programs in Aboriginal Home Care, by driving growth, profitability and strategic service improvement.
• Develop the strategies for program opportunities for Aboriginal Home Care.
• Increase community engagement and needs within Aboriginal Home Care.
• Share the Australian Unity values of being bold, warm and honest.

Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience in similar role
• Knowledge of Home Care standards and guidelines
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Competent Computer skills
• Develops a range of solutions and tests likely outcomes to solve complex problems
• Proactively plans and manages allocated project tasks to meet time, budget and quality
• Excellent  written and verbal communication
• Uses persuasive arguments to gain support and cooperation and maintain good relations
• Knowledge of the issues that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples and communities in today's society.
