We have a new position for a Canadian Business Development Manager to join Invenco as lead for our Canadian market.

About the role
This will be a wide scoping role - and you will hold responsibility to lead business development, product management and sales activity in Canada. This position will have special emphasis on driving business both directly and via channel partners in the Petroleum retail segment - and will be key member of Invenco’s global sales team.

As the Business Development Manager for Invenco you will be across a wide range of functions, and it's essential that you are able to collaborate internally and across global time zones. In this role you will be involved in the following:

Sales, Marketing & Business Development:

  • Developing long & short-term revenue earning opportunities
  • Negotiating large complex sales deals
  • Accurately develop and report on sales forecast & pipeline
  • Respond to RFPs.
  • Lead and provide guidance for the sales team.

Innovation, Market Research & Analysis

  • Translate customer business needs and challenges to Invenco commercial solutions and strategies.
  • Pro-actively identify new commercial opportunities and work product management on product roadmaps.
  • Keep abreast of competitive product offerings and emerging technologies.
  • Identify and promote new ideas/business opportunity areas to the rest of the team.
  • Identify opportunities for the business to provide value added solutions and services to its customers.
  • Report & advise on Invenco value proposition in the market, the competitive landscape and market readiness.


About your experience
We are interested in speaking with candidates with a proven sales record, ideally you hold a payments background ideally with petroleum industry experience. This position requires the following skills:

  • Strong experienced sales experience in complex business to business deals within the technology sector
  • High-level understanding of POS & Petroleum environment
  • Experience being front line with customers.
  • Strong communication skills - and able to work easily within a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in business and strategy development.
  • Skilled in managing complex negotiations and putting together complex business deals and contracts.
  • Commercial and technical acumen ideally with payments and forecourt solutions
  • No restrictions to travel.
  • Salesforce experience would be an advantage, along with EMV rollouts experience and OEM supply.
