We presently have an opening for Principal Consultant level Digital Strategist & Business Development Lead - to work on complex pre-sales and project activities that are delivering leading edge digital solutions. In this role you can expect to work closely with account and sales teams and have an opportunity to provide sales leadership on digital solutions that generates incremental opportunities for the Oakton Digital NSW practice.

You’ll have variety and be able to support our dynamic and enthusiastic team. In addition you’ll have the chance to cross-train into the latest technologies.
Your role & responsibilities will include;

  • Provide digital leadership in front of clients and channel partners
  • Develop GTM value propositions with Oakton and Dimension Data sales teams
  • Generate incremental sales pipeline via demand generation, organic growth of existing clients channel partners and account managers
  • Articulate visionary scene setting and explain the business reasons for going digital
  • Identifying client organisation's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement - identifying where our clients can utilise digital techniques for greatest strategic impact and defining the priority capabilities required to succeed
  • Be the Go-To visionary for Digital transformation opportunities - across various domains such as web/ analytics/ crm/ mobility/ smart workplace
  • Be agnostic of technology
  • Assist our clients in creating and implementing digital visions, strategies, operating models and roadmaps that address today’s business needs and future growth
  • Develop the business cases for digital opportunities and facilitate digital transformation
  • Write proposals
  • Publish thought leadership and generate excitement about Oakton’s digital brand in the Australian market

Required experience and skills to be successful in this role;

  • Deep experience in developing all aspects of Digital Transformation including market analysis, requirements gathering, strategy, business case, KPIs, target operating model and high-level design
  • Digital project lifecycle experience, including pre-sales support, strategy consulting, solution design and project planning
  • Experience in strategy/ delivery of complex digital activity
  • Good conceptual ability and skills in analysis and problem solving
  • Keen interest and passion in the latest innovations and business thought leadership (e.g. advanced analytics, social, mobile, data science, internet of things, new digital business models, digital organizations, building an innovation culture, smart workplace)
  • Enthusiastic and passionate - have a presence and ability to 'excite' people.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Be able to work with senior client management (Board and CXO level) to drive digital opportunities using the language of business. First class written and verbal communication skills to articulate in logical manner.
  • Experience of a similar role(s) for a least 6 years, ideally within Digital Consulting
  • Optional experience in an entrepreneurial environment, i.e. start-up
  • Be familiar with the capabilities of key technologies related to web / mobile / CRM such as Ellucian, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Sitecore
  • MS Office 365 and Adobe experience is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree
