We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to manage our team of Business Analysts for the Billing Department. This candidate should have 5-7 years related experience supporting data integration, modeling, and Business Intelligence in combination with minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience. The Manager will identify, research, and resolve complex technical issues raised by the team or other departments in relation to the tasks of the Business Intelligence Team. The assurance that project, department milestones, SOX Compliance and goals are met and adhered to in addition to supporting and ensuring the day-to-day tasks of the team are completely timely and accurately. This position will work closely with the functional stakeholders and Sr. Management on multiple simultaneous deliverables with dynamic schedules. Stakeholders include Reporting, Finance, Customer Success Manager, Quality Assurance, Internal Compliance and Auditing, PMO, Professional Services, Network Services & Security, Order Management, Project Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day tasks of the Billing Analyst Team
  • Ensure coverage and completion of tasks assigned
  • Review workload and assess team assignments to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Ability to participate in meetings with project team and report findings
  • Build/test proactive validation processes to catch data integrity issues
  • Work independently on project tasks and takes initiative on required issues
  • Ability to build tabular and/or visualization reports as needed
  • Work closely with teams across company to resolve issues related to Billing.
  • Audit errors and initiate proactive solutions to ensure quality
  • Oversee the team that works closely with Finance, PS Technical Managers, IT and Business Engagement Managers to understand NOB Applications and each customer’s goals & business requirements and convert that into reporting requirements.
  • Support the team that works closely with IT to get access to data source and perform data analytics to produce billing and performance metrics
  • Monitor the delivery of SLA Calculation every month
  • Oversee the team’s preparation of requirements documentation, use cases, and generate detailed specifications to document customer- specific as well as internal billing reporting functional requirements.
  • Participate with Management & Team Members for corporate and external SOX compliance tasks via quarterly NOD ‘Test of One’ audit
    Support SOX billing compliance validation and the corresponding change management entry compliance for the assigned accounts.
  • Support the team as they act as a liaison between business and development group. Interface with development team to clarify and refine
    Interact with QA team to review test plans and/or test criteria.
  • Monitor the approval of executed post-production validation on deployed applications releases and prepare billing user guides and/or documentation as required.
  • Support and monitor the delivery of customer performance data insights and support for financial, operational reporting. Provide critical data mining support to help rationalize performance behaviors as required.
  • Monitor billing data integrity by performing billing application, product performance analysis and data integrity checks. Analyze and support billing issues through investigation to resolution.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelors of Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance and/or Accounting preferred (4-5+years practice and related exp.)
  • Minimum of Years of Work Experience: 3-5+ years of people management. 4-5+ years of experience in supporting Management Information System and Data Analysis and Reporting

Required SKills:

  • Team and project leadership a must
  • Prior management experience of 3-5 years required
  • Technically advanced in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, reporting and graphing
  • The ability to learn new technologies and concepts so as to construct control frameworks and apply applicable controls
  • SOX compliance, IT 404 controls and auditing experience
  • Experience with SDLC and IT delivery
  • SQL scripting skills and database knowledge
  • Excellent team work, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) a must.
  • 4-5+ years Management Information Systems business systems support, data analysis, reporting, accounting and/or specialized business technology or professional services delivery.
  • Attention to details with proven methodical problem-solving success with financial or data analytics.
  • Foundational understanding of network, systems, and application operations and controls.
  • The ability to learn new technologies and concepts so as to construct control frameworks and apply applicable controls.
  • Excellent team work, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) a must.
  • Strong data analysis skills, expert user of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Word.
  • Experience writing requirements documents and detailed specifications.
  • SQL scripting skills and database knowledge are required.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, presenting to executive management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding, changing environment
  • Flexibility with hours based on various time zones.

Preferred Skills:

  • SOX compliance, IT 404 controls and auditing experience
  • Experience with SDLC and IT delivery organizations preferred
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, analytics, reporting and modeling data (Power BI, Tableau a plus)
  • Experience with SQL scripting and SQLServer
  • Experience with Oracle beneficial
