Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Director APO (Asia Pacific Operations), Data & Business Intelligence to join us.

You will be the trusted advisor to Agency teams and clients in all areas concerning consumer & media data integration, management, reporting and analysis. You will also take on a team leadership / engagement director role and be looked upon as a technical expert in the design and implementation of solutions leveraging a proprietary data and analytics platform.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Build connections & relationships across the various teams & stakeholders.
  • Have an understanding of what our platform does, how it works and what are the benefits to agency & client.
  • Begin to evangelize & advocate the use of our platform to both external client and internal (WPP) parties.

In six months:

  • Work with the global team to ensure our platform is developed as per APO market requirements.
  • Work with local market teams to ensure our platform is properly embedded & deployed and help the various stakeholders translate business objectives into defined strategies.
  • Ensure our platform is operational in all identified markets.

In 12 months:

  • Ensure a successful rollout, management and implementation of our platform to agreed calendar & KPI’s.
  • Continuously look for opportunities for platform enhancement via adding new data sets, new applications to client’s business & overall tool development opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to a number of agency teams and lead game-changing projects leveraging our platform and products to drive scaled application of superior insights.

What your day job looks like:

  • Conference calls with market teams on rollout, implementation & usage.
  • Discussions with client on now, next, far issues relating to our platform.
  • Reviewing & developing relationships with data partners.
  • Managing the delivery of the agreed scope.
  • Some level of training the users of the platform.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrate technical leadership and team management, with experience managing multiple parallel software and/or database implementation projects.
  • A strong technical background in data management concepts, data architecture and data analysis with a keen interest in leveraging data and technology to deliver business insights at scale.
  • An ability to work collaboratively with multi-cultural business partners and stakeholders and be a strong team player.
  • The capability to navigate the different agency teams, companies & hierarchies.
  • Excellent client facing skills.
  • Ability in project management, with excellent client facing skills and the talent to evangelize and sell, turning ideas into action.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 10 years digital agency experience or related field.
  • Expertise in relevant industry software and systems.
  • A familiarity with programmatic media trading.
