The future position holder will lead the global commercial and go-to-market strategy for the Life Science Research portfolio and will report directly into the Vice President Life Science.
Support the Vice President of our Business Unit Life Science Research to develop the right strategy in coordination with Regional Units and Product Management.
Develop long-term growth strategy for the target market/customer segment in alignment with our growth strategies
Align budget planning with our annual strategic plan and support the objective analysis of potential market opportunities
Develop and support business plans and distribution / channel strategies for existing and new product lines, in alignment with the market’s buying preferences
Develop effective Go-to Market strategies and programs with Regional Units, Product Management and Global Marketing to move prospects quickly and effectively through the funnel, with the objective of turning prospects into satisfied customers
Define the specific plans and budgets for selling to new customers as well as selling products and services to existing customers and for ensuring customer loyalty
Develop and execute global strategy and concept for “Centers of Excellence” and KOL engagement to support revenue achievement and product Innovation
Analyze product portfolio positioning and pricing, based on regional market Situation
Plan, execute and measure effectiveness of strategic launches. Ensure commercial readiness and success of NPIs, coordinating and integrating all required global and local partners and workstreams (LEX)
Manage proactive communications with Regional Units and KOLs from strategy to execution
Design and deliver training programs, coordinate with Product Management, Application Management and Regional Units, to help the sales channels focus on how to sell the product, not how to use it
Use your arket knowledge to help sales align the sales process to the way the market wants to buy.
University degree in Engineering or Economics or Medicine (MD, MBA, PhD)
Longstanding experience in Sales and Product Management
Strong leadership skills as situational leader, acting as role model within a matrix organization
Several years in management role with international team responsibility
Strategic «big picture» and future-oriented thinking
Related business experience in Life Science Industry
Experience in strategic business planning with good financial understanding
Fluent English and German skills any other language would be a plus
Expert in building professional relationships and being a persuasive communicator
End-to-end accountability and results orientation
Attention to details with a «hands-on» personality
Willingness to travel up to 40%
