About The Job

We are looking for a smart, fun and energetic People Business Partner/ Office Manager based in Melbourne who is looking to take the next step in their career in our Australia office! You’ll be challenged to push boundaries, make a significant difference and recommend bold actions to solve tough business problems. A big part of your day-to-day will involve being the key People representative for our Superstars in the AU region, supporting them and the business on both operational and developmental needs. You will get creative and be hands-on in overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle from Day 0 to exit, ensuring that our people are set up for success in their roles, while also having an exceptional experience as a Superstar. 

You will also be an ambassador of our core values and responsible for ensuring that our Superstars are engaged and aligned with both our values and policies, providing a seamless experience when relaying information or activities from global HQ in Singapore. You will be responsible for every aspect of facilities management relating to our AU office, managing contracts and suppliers as well as leading cultural engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs and demands of our team in the region, identify the gaps and problems, and provide sound counsel accordingly
  • Manage employee relationships and improve employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Support talent acquisition for the team(s) in the region
  • Deepen and extend each Superstar’s sense of belonging towards the company and alignment to our values through means not limited to Learning & Development, Performance Management, Individual and Team Engagement, etc.
  • Manage and update the compensation and benefits structure aligned to industry standards in the region and our internal benchmarks
  • Provide advice on our internal People policies by being a strong and knowledgeable representative on compliance for the market
  • Ensure seamless communication and updates for all People policies and guidelines to the team.
  • Own AU Payroll operations, including monitoring annual leave, bonuses, or salary changes
  • Develop, manage and implement successful and consistent global People initiatives
  • Manage Learning & Development initiatives to ensure that our Superstars are supported in their development needs 
  • Assess the People implications of business initiatives and provide advice for improvement
  • Develop and implement people solutions to make teams more effective
  • Work with leaders and key stakeholders to create positive, fun and productive workplace 
  • Support in the maintenance of employee files and databases
  • Manage and reconcile credit card spends for the team
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and ensuring that they have a world-class onboarding experience
  • Responsible for aligning, organising and executing organisational events both in-house and off-site
  • Anticipate employee and office needs, including taking the initiative to make process improvements
  • Manage inventory in the office and any in-person transactions
  • Facilities and office management, including office contracts, order requests and general upkeep

About You

  • 4+ years of progressive human resources generalist experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • Proven experience with operational HR, employee relations, performance management, L&D, employee engagement and compensation and benefits
  • Solid business acumen with interest in People analytics
  • Strong experience with Australian employment legislation and policies
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment. Be self directed and motivated. Proven interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills  
  • Experience in creative problem solving, influencing, change management, and eliminating barriers at any organisational level
  • Ability to develop trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results at all levels of the organisation. 
  • Experience in training and developing employees in a high performance culture
  • Experience organising and executing team-bonding activities
  • Highly adaptable, hands-on, and personable across all levels within the organisation
  • Self-starter, independent, organised and highly motivated
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment required
  • Experience in an online-based brand, e-commerce or digital/tech firm preferred
  • Previous global exposure and experience strongly preferred
