About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team in a dynamic and fast-growing business. We are looking for an experienced, motivated & highly organised professional to support our Queensland business deliver high-value, consistent and reliable human resource functions, with a focus on recruitment & developing our people. Reporting to the State Manager, with support from the People & Performance Manager in Adelaide, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a consistent recruitment process across our retail, trade, operations and administration functions;
  • Delivering a consistent and professional onboarding experience for new team members;
  • Co-ordinating performance improvement and training & development initiatives;
  • Providing support and advice across a broad range of areas including generalist HR, talent, development, succession planning and performance management;
  • Liaising with the management team to identify learning needs across the business; and
  • Providing general support as needed across a range of HR related initiatives.

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation;
  • Relevant HR qualifications;
  • Proven experience developing effective working relationships with management;
  • Experience delivering high quality recruitment/onboarding processes;
  • Experience supporting performance management processes and supporting these systems;
  • Willingness and ability to link HR outcomes to key business drivers;
  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills;
  • Tact and diplomacy;
  • Proactive and goal-oriented approach;
  • Flexible and open-minded with an ability to be innovative & creative in solution development; and
  • Highly organised with a proven ability to work under pressure.
