We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Analyst to join the Business Optimisation team. You will be responsible for ensuring that opportunities are identified and efficiencies are created in the business process systems of Beyond Bank Australia. You will evaluate and analyse activities on a small to large scale.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Using both DMAIC and Waterfall methodologies, as appropriate for the project, execute complex projects that deliver clear measurable efficiencies within the business.

  • Work within Beyond Banks Business Process Optimisation (BPO) and Project Management (PMO) framework.
  • Undertake stakeholder consultations, facilitate meeting and workshops to gather all required business information for requirements definition and modelling business operations
  • Lead business process improvement projects by preparing project scopes, business requirements documents and contributing to requests for proposals, business cases and other project documentation as necessary
  • Create benefits models to prove the activities have made a tangible strategic improvement
  • Review and analyse specifications and business cases produced by other business units and departments for potential projects or improvement initiatives
  • Support the implementation and hand-over to BAU
  • Assist the PMO Office and Project Managers in estimating timelines and budgets for projects
  • Provide progress/issue reports to the Project Sponsor
  • Engage Project Sponsor(s) in issue resolution as necessary
  • Develop process diagrams and design logical data models

You will possess the following desirable and essential skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of banking and finance (E)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, statistics or accounting (D)
  • Strong foundation in data analysis (E)
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills (E)
  • Creative streak (E)
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio for documentation purposes (E)
  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement, preferably (E)
  • Practical knowledge of formal project methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, TQM, Waterfall and Agile (E)
  • Ability to communicate clearly to engage and develop relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Exhibit good leadership and negotiation skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision (E)
  • Extremely organised and able to multi-task (E)
  • Ability to work between functional and technical teams (E)
  • Exhibit good knowledge of business operations. (D)
  • Skills and experience in change management (D)
