Business Unit Lead, Poultry and Swine ANZ

Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in Macquarie Park, NSW
Lead with your strong sales / key account management skills, as well as a strategic mindset to promote growth of our Poultry and Swine business in ANZ
Work with a highly engaged agile team of Sales, Marketing and Technical professionals
Reporting to the General Manager ANZ, this is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking leader who demonstrates a great aptitude and a deep understanding of sales, key account management and marketing processes to help drive our sales, technical and marketing strategy to achieve revenue targets, as well as growth with our current and pipeline innovative products in the Poultry and Swine market in ANZ. This role is involved in the day to day direct Sales / Key Account Management and Strategic Marketing Management for the Swine Business across ANZ. In addition, a rewarding part of this position is to lead and motivate the Poultry Sales & Technical team to high performance by promoting a culture of accountability and empowerment, whilst upholding leadership values in high integrity and ethics.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Profit and Loss Management
Contribute to the development of the ANZ Animal Health organisational strategy and translate this into Sales, Marketing and Technical projects and activities to support long-term operating plan;
Direct day to day Key Account and Sales Management activities of the Swine business;
Lead the activities of the Poultry sales and technical group for the achievement of short- and long-term business objectives, increased sales, market share and profitability;
Identify and develop new and growth business opportunities, whilst driving the growth of key inline brands;
Manage pricing and product mix to maximise gross profit of the business unit;
Effective management of brand planning process and effective utilisation of promotional budgets and resources to ensure strong launch capability for new brands;
Championing the development of new methods of customer interaction (including non-traditional marketing channels), new initiatives (such as new products, new marketing techniques and new advertising campaigns.
Build and maintain strong business to business relationship with key customer entities, major suppliers, customers and key industry groups;
Work closely and collaboratively with the marketing, sales and technical teams in a positive, cohesive and engaged manner to align on key priorities and ensure strategy are met
Positively participate in global, regional and local project teams to support the long-term success of the business.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
You are a commercially minded and results driven individual who thrives on working in a hands-on, fast paced and agile environment. You are at ease with the day to day execution of direct selling and account management, whilst also enjoy providing strategic direction and leadership to a team.
You will also have the following attributes:
Relevant tertiary qualification (scientific, marketing or business qualification preferred)
Broad commercial working experience (5-7+) years in sales & marketing in regulated environments (e.g. Animal Health, Production, Feedlot (Cattle))
Product and Technical Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Poultry and Swine market
Knowledge of the Swine and Poultry production systems
Proven commercial and financial acumen with the ability to think strategically
Possess a successful track record in Sales and Key Account Management, with a natural ability to develop and grow long term deep relationships with clients
Ability to build, lead and manage sales, marketing and technical teams through change
Excellent organisational skills and timeliness in responding to customer needs
Excellent written, verbal and negotiation communication skills in English
Ability to be results-focused and work well with others in a team setting, demonstrating collaboration and inclusive behaviours
Show resilience and ability to thrive within an environment of ambiguity
