About the College:

Founded in 1881, St Joseph’s is an independent Catholic boarding and day secondary school for boys, under the care of the Marist Brothers. In 2018, enrolment is approximately 1,100 boys from Years 7 to 12.

About the role:

The Canteens Officer ensures the ongoing and effective operations of the Canteen, Café and Park Dining Room, ensuring they are stocked and operational during designated home games in the winter sports season. 

The Canteens Officer: 

  • Ensures the ongoing sustainability of SJC Parents and Friends Association volunteer rostering for food and beverage outlets across the College at designated home games during the winter sports season;
  • Provides an opportunity for parents to support the College through volunteering;
  • Oversees the ordering and management of stock for, and service at, designated food and beverage outlets, particularly but not limited to SJC Canteen, Café and Park Dining Room;
  • In conjunction with P&F Canteen Coordinator(s), ensures the food and beverage offering at home games provides appropriate hospitality for students, parents and visiting schools.
  • Contributes to a strong sense of community and collective commitment to the College’s mission and ethos, by providing hospitality to at home games.
