About The Team
The Marketing Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and defines and executes in close collaboration with business owners, corporate legal, finance and controlling, the global sourcing strategies and supplier management.
We are looking for a Category Manager for our Marketing Category Team within Global Procurement. In this role you will manage the procurement of services related to advertising, media, branding, direct & digital marketing, creative services, events, market research, memberships, merchandise, public relations, and sponsorships.
As a trusted business value enabler for key stakeholders you will develop a strategic roadmap for marketing technologies, understanding SAP’s current and future requirements including SAP’s Digital Technology Council.
You will conduct RFPs and perform data privacy, compliance, and security reviews into marketing tools and technology as well as be responsible for supplier management and sourcing strategies as well as strategic sourcing events. You will look for opportunities for improvements, innovations, and savings and perform market analysis and benchmarking to gain market intelligence.
We are looking for people with solid stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills who are able to establish clear priorities and manage multiple demands in a virtual, international environment.
You should have several years’ experience in strategic procurement within a multinational business, with at least two years of managing a Marketing Technology Category. This experience will include the ability to collaborate and crystalize business requirements and to translate them into actionable procurement activity.
An understanding of end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies and knowledge of purchasing systems (e.g. SAP Ariba SAP Fieldglass) is essential.
