Buying Manager should be motivated by the growth in a dynamic environment focused on our customers. He/she must have excellent verbal & written communication, draw metric-based conclusions from extensive amounts of data, and partner with marketing/finance/inventory management to achieve top and bottom line results. Proven leadership, project management, presentation, and organizational skills are required to excel in a category that requires strategic and tactical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functioning as part of assortment team, you’ll assist with driving cost reduction and improved overall services, for greater efficiencies and economies of scale
- Identification of potential gaps in the Lazada vendor supply chain vs. competitor; working on mitigation plans for Lazada vendor shortfall through on-boarding best in class new vendors
- Assertively advocate the value of smart procurement, to create alignment with and buy-in from your internal stakeholders,
- Ensuring that no fulfillment run out of stock, as well as preventing service supply
- Understand the business needs within the TH business groups & validate the requirements are justified
- Manage vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance
- Execute Purchase Orders including full tracking up to delivery on site
- Support implementation of Catalogues and promote/execute with local requesters higher spend penetration through Catalogs
- Ensure flawless procurement procedures on site - working with the relevant individuals to make improvements where required
- Identify savings opportunities and partner with Category Managers to deliver savings through tenders/negotiations/contract renewals
- Support to negotiations, contracts implementation and maintenance, incl. supplier performance metrics
- Execute and support China and TH wide procurement projects and initiatives including liaising with the TH local team.

Job requirements

- Master degree in Business or Marketing.
- Experience in buying, sourcing vendor management, product management, project management, financial analysis and marketing.
- Experience with FMCG, General Merchandise or Health & Beauty supplier a plus.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Analytic, Well organized
- Autonomy, Flexibility, tenacity, ability to work in a team.
