The primary purpose of the role is to lead the implementation of changes in the Cash Funds Transfer Operations team, more specifically - manage the

  • implementation of regulatory changes

  • implementation of new Euro payment mechanisms. The incumbent of the role will further act as the system incident manager for transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Financial Crime Compliance, Compliance, Product Management, Regional and Group Cash functions, and Industry on any new process changes, regulatory requirements or new product features - participate actively in all operational and regulatory projects to provide payment expertise

  • Perform impact analysis of new payment, clearing, settlement systems and messaging standards and funds transfer regulations in the SCB Germany Cash Operations team (Local funds transfer Regulation, Sepa Rule book, EBA/Target2/SWIFT ISO2021) and develop implementation in strategies

  • Execute implementation strategies by ensuring that changes follow the established change management processes. This includes the

  • Identification of requirements which are documented in a Business Requirement document

  • Review of technical functional specifications

  • Coordination and participation in UATs and UVTs and conduction of post go-live monitoring

  • Effective communication with periodical updates to all stakeholders

  • Escalation of any delays or any other project issue

  • Act as single point of contact to the Cash Operations team for providing expertise on local funds transfer regulations, Clearing mechanism and Swift

  • Continuously review and manage the improvement of processes to drive efficiency in the Cash Operations team and manage / track the implementation of process improvements

Other responsibilities

Act as the lead incident management coordinator in Europe for Cash Technology incidents and system outages.

Ensure internal communication, periodic updates and the completion of the impact analysis.


Establish and drive strategic initiatives to assess impact to the payments systems or Cash Operations processes.


Direct Business interaction and responsibility to provide responses to queries.


Lead the resolution of process issues within Cash Operations and to design and help implement revised processes as required. Will also be expected to design new processes and operating models to support new initiatives, e.g. new systems, Regulations or products being supported.

Experience in Senior Stakeholder Management

Risk Management

Expected to comply with SCB Group and AG policies and procedures relating to Risk Management


Oversight of projects related to regulatory requirements, new Clearing mechanisms and new product features

  • Detailed knowledge of Euro Clearing, SWIFT and Payment Processing and European Payment Transparency rules

  • Ability to provide advice and guidance on interpretation of regulation to colleagues

  • Experience in managing system implementations and process improvements in a structured manner

  • Previous Team leadership (extensive) experience

  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to provide advice and guidance on interpretation of regulation to colleagues

  • Bachelor University Certificate

  • Very good communication skills – verbal and written (both German and English)
