The appointee will have the ability to collaborate and develop a Science programmes specifically for Chemistry that is both stimulating and challenging and engages students of all abilities.
They will also develop assessments that monitor the progress of student learning and achievement; produces coherent feedback for students, parents and external institutions; and informs teaching and learning.
The Chemistry teacher will also ensure that students progress well under their care and are kept abreast with developments in science.
The teacher should be able to keep pace with the demands of a changing and evolving curriculum and also keep abreast with 21st century pedagogy.
The teacher should be able to use and integrate technology in their teaching as well as use IT in communicating with students, parents and colleagues.
The Chemistry teacher will be a member of the Secondary School Science Team and will report to the Curriculum Leader for Science.
The appointee will be a post graduate in Chemistry with a teaching qualification/degree from a reputed institution plus a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a leading international school.
Experience in teaching IB and IGSCE is a requirement.
The post holder should have excellent written and spoken English. Further, the teacher will preferably have experience in teaching a second science and should have taught students of different abilities across the 11 to 18 age range.
