The local ING France CIO is part of the CIO council and is accountable for formulating and deploying the local IT strategy aligned with the business strategy and the Group strategy, including setting standards, criteria and preconditions for the IT department. Focus areas include reliability, customer centricity, efficiency, agility collaborative community and security. Further responsibilities are defining and executing on the IT medium term plan budget and ensure adequate resources for projects and implementation. Supervise IT operations and follows the delivery process for new IT functionality and capabilities. Manage the operating model, implement standardization, responsible for quick wins, best practice sharing and innovation. Anticipates the level of maintenance and system evolution required to support future business needs, and delivers high service quality in line with SLA’s to clients and internal users in complex organizations.
Your main activities and responsibilities are as follows:
Achieving the IT strategy involves delivering reliability, security and customer centricity.
Bring a change capacity in line with business expectations
Anticipate the maintenance and the evolution of systems in order to support future business needs
Deliver required quality of services towards clients and internal users, in line with the SLA
Maintain an efficient organization in terms of resources and costs management
Participate in the cost management & controlling of the IT department
Advising and delivering IT solutions to new business/regulatory challenges/Enterprise & IT Architecture, Innovation. Give a pro-active support in business departments’ reflection
Leadership & Management: Manage the employee life cycle through hiring and onboarding, learnin and development, career planning and performance evaluation
Ensure the implementation and update of the IT governance as well as the Bank’s governance
Contribute with an active participation and cooperation within the ING Group IT community
Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
Keep contacts with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including vendors, and partner organizations.
Ensure life cycle management of applications and systems of the bank
Manage the IT risks of the bank to keep it within the risk appetite
Contribute to the bank’s development while ensuring Retail and WB business as usual activities and systems evolution.
Understand and follow-up rigorously the activities of the whole department. Realizing conscious chosen operating model. Realizing standardization and replication in their own country. Working together with the group Platforms, to set the standard for the next generation digital bank.
Prioritization :ensure IT topics are well onboarded within Business tribes
Education: Master’s degree in engineering
Established management experience in IT
10 years’ and more experience in project management
Experience in IT development (preferred) or infrastructure management including experience in an agile way of working
Strong leadership in Change and Program management, team manager, strong IT background, knowledge of Retail Banking and Wholesale banking, used to innovative environment.
Business competencies: Operational excellence, stakeholder management, strong communication (fluent in English), need credibility from a content perspective and required to be creative and innovative thinker/contributor to bring the IT vision forward. Digital mindset and capabilities: Support the move to the next generation digital bank: establish rapid decision-making processes and embrace the idea of a digital transformation across the organization.
