The Service

KU Ultimo Children’s Centre, located in Sydney's CBD within walking distance from all public transport, is a long day care service where children learn through play, and are inspired to continue learning through specialised experiences based upon their interests and motivations.

Rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard, KU Ultimo has a special interest in the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) Approach, which is an inspired teaching practice for children aged 0-3 years.

The Role

KU Ultimo are looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate educator with a completed diploma qualification to join their team.

On offer is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day on a rotating roster and accrue one monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).

Experience with RIE and Circle of Security approaches is desirable but not essential.

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have:

  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
  • A recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • A current First Aid certificate with separate Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training
  • Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
