The Service

KU Ultimo Children’s Centre, located in Sydney's CBD within walking distance from all public transport, is a long day care service where children learn through play, and are inspired to continue learning through specialised experiences based upon their interests and motivations.

Rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard, KU Ultimo has a special interest in the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) Approach, which is an inspired teaching practice for children aged 0-3 years.

The Role

KU Ultimo are looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate educator with a completed Certificate III qualification to join their team.

On offer is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. You will work on a rotating roster and accrue one monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).

Experience working with toddlers is desirable but not essential.

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have:

  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
  • A recognised Certificate III in Children's Services qualification or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)

It is a NSW Health directive that:

• From 19 September all early childhood educators who live or work in the 12 LGAs or suburbs of concern will be required to have received at least one dose of the current COVID-19 vaccine

• Full vaccination (both doses) will be mandatory for all other early childhood education and care educators and staff in NSW, and a COVID19 Vaccination Certificate must be provided before Monday 8 November 2021
