At Pet Health Insurance Services, we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, driven and friendly people to join our new dynamic and hard-working Pet Health Claims team, contributing to our positive team environment.
The Role:
This opportunity will see you help support our customers through effective and efficient processing of incoming pet health insurance claims. Reporting to the Pet Health Claims Team Leader, you will be accountable for administering claims in a timely manner while delivering consistently high levels of customer service to each and every customer.
You will be working during our core business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Key accountabilities include:

  • Lodge and assess claims accurately with a high attention to detail
  • Respond to incoming customer calls and provide excellent phone service in addressing claims queries
  • Obtain complete and accurate information regarding circumstances surrounding submitted claims
  • Review Veterinary histories and policy documentation to determine the correct outcome of customer claims
  • Act as first point of contact for customer complaints and resolve these through listening
  • Liaise with our internal Veterinary Officers, and external Veterinary Clinic or Hospital staff when necessary

Knowledge and Experience:
We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse with the ability to work effectively across a diverse team. You will be someone who has exceptional customer services skills and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Key requirements include:

  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse with experience working in a Veterinary practice
  • Confidence to take responsibility for claims determination and acceptance
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A warm and empathetic attitude when dealing with customers
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • A keenness to learn and develop
  • A strong team player who works well in collaboration with others and actively participate in team discussions and activities in a positive and engaging way
