Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Staffing Clerk to join the North Shore Staffing Office at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC. Apply today to join our team!

As a Staffing Clerk at VCH you will:

• Call in regular and casual staff for daily staffing requests and/or long and short term staffing vacancies according to established procedures, contractual requirements, availability, and/or determined priority.
• Perform timekeeping for designated staff.
• Maintain various computerized and hard copy records, process approved requests for vacation and or leave of absences and compile statistical data from electronic scheduling tool for reporting purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

• Grade 12 plus three years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
