Based in one of our Western Europe offices (Paris, Tervuren or Huizen) and being part of the Western Europe Customer Advisory organization, you will be the domain chapter lead regarding Cloud & Architecture in the region. You will set the strategic roadmap within your domain.

In this role you will assist industry focused sales teams with sales activities to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You’ll provide sales support and advisory services for high stakes, qualified sales opportunities to senior audiences and key decision makers. In this role, you’ll also provide enterprise architecture and cloud deployment expertise to assist our sales teams, customer advisory, and senior management within sales opportunities. If you have hands-on expertise within the cloud technology landscape, and a knack for DevOps, you may be our newest team member.

At the heart of the role is the ability to provide storytelling and business experience to all stakeholders with an aptitude to develop and articulate the right solutions to the customer’s needs. To be effective in this role, you’ll need to understand – and communicate – the relationship between business processes and technology solutions. You’ll help to define the business value that cloud based AI and Analytics solutions can provide and demonstrate its use.

We seek applications from individuals who have demonstrated the ability to bridge the gap between the business and technology, relating business requirements to technical capabilities and solutions to business value, with a strong skillset and interest in Enterprise Architecture.

Your major responsibilities :

  • Act as the customer advisory driver for Cloud & Architecture topics.
  • Support the sales force in translating the needs of the customer into working SAS solutions by elaborating business cases.
  • Able to understand the language of the customer and to translate this in a compelling value proposition for the customer.
  • Lead a domain chapter team of highly skilled individuals to jointly progress the organization’s capabilities int the domain
  • Work with other teams to ensure the successful outcome of trials, evaluations, proofs-of-concept and any technical aspects of the customer advisory process
  • Advise on the design and the implementation of advanced, technology-driven solutions
  • Prepare, run, give demo’s and speak at industry events using your business and technical expertise
  • Contribute to and manage the technical elements of RFI/RFP/Tender completion and submission

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Bilingual English and French or Dutch is mandatory to be considered for the role.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Significant experience in presales, sales or business consulting, Previous work experience of 5 years in a similar role
  • Experience and/or certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF)
  • Experience with one or more major cloud environments such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMWare, OpenStack
  • Programming skills with one or more modern languages (scripted or compiled) – e.g. KSH, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, JavaScript
  • Willing to acquire the technical knowledge of core SAS technology
  • Highly commercial attitude, active listener
