About the role...

We are currently looking for CNC/ Machine Operators to support our increased volume at our Townsville factory.  This is a full time permanent position after a successful 6 month probationary period and there is room to grow into leadership positions.

Opportunities exist from warehousing duties to cutting and processing glass using hand tools, automatic cutting machines and glass toughening furnaces.  Working in a friendly and supportive environment, reporting to a Team Coordinator, you will work across a variety of equipment to meet production targets.  You will be provided with properly structured and regulated onsite training, including but not limited to the following tasks:

• Laminating - rolling of glass off table
• Spot-sticking and writing on glass
• Breaking out of glass on cutting tables
• Unloading glass
• Racking glass
• Quality checking
• Assisting loaders with orders for trucks
• Assisting in warehousing duties 
• General housekeeping maintenance of the work space

About you...

To be successful in this physical and challenging role you will need to be a capable and motivated person with a positive working attitude.  You must take pride in the quality of work you produce and have the following attributes:

• confident working with hand/power tools
• Familiar with Machine Operations and Fabrication Industry background
• focus on safety
• great communication skills
• strong attention to detail
• emphasis on producing high quality work delivered on time
• experienced with working in a fast paced environment
• must be physically fit as manual handling will be involved
• flexible to work in multiple sections
• previous experience in the glass industry and a forklift licence would be advantageous, but not essential
