Position Description

Position Purpose:

The Commercial Manager is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of accounts

delivering customer satisfaction, achieving customer loyalty and profitable sales growth.

Major / Key Accountabilities:


·       Lead and win profitable sales revenue growth from assigned portfolio of accounts covering both Automotive and Industrial Solutions and Intercontinental Solutions


·       Develop and implement account management strategies to retain, improve and grow assigned accounts for both Automotive and Industrial Solutions and Intercontinental Solutions

·       Win profitable business in line with our strategic and financial goals to increase significatively our footprint and market share on the French market

·       Develop excellent relationships management with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts and foster customer experience to increase customer loyalty

·       Negotiation of all strategic commercial agreements

·       Contractual compliance and pricing accuracy

·       Negotiation of the mandatory annual audit and reconciliation process

·       Execution of Joint Business plans

·       RFQ & RFI Management


·       Interface between assigned accounts and the wider Automotive and Industrial Solutions and Global Automotive teams

·       Financial and market recommendations to the leadership team


  • Sales revenue performance versus strategy and budget
  • Customer satisfaction scores measured via NPS and or relationship surveys
  • Annual audit execution and result
  • Financial security KPIs
  • Fulfillment of Contractual agreements (e.g.: Direct cost: Vehicle utilization etc.)


Business degree (M) MBA (D) or related and a minimum of 3 years working experience in a customer environment with commercial background. Automotive experience expected.


·       Minimum 5 years in a similar customer facing commercial role within a multinational environment

·       Solid track record in the Automotive sector

·       Experience in working within sizeable multi discipline teams and influencing change in a matrix/cross-functional environment

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong negotiating, collaboration, solution selling and relationship building capabilities
  • Strategic thinking, ability to develop and drive a concept through to commercial offer and successful conclusion
  • Very good customer orientated communication skills
  • Must be extremely flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Diplomatic and sensitive when serving customers of a different mentality and culture
  • Good understanding of Customer Experience, Customer Solutions and keen to create customer loyality
  • Senior level networking skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong business knowledge and acumen
  • Results oriented, goal aligned approach
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive and industrial supply chain
