Facebook is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to support the company’s communications efforts in Indonesia. The candidate will need to be able to work independently as well as partner closely with internal and external stakeholders, offering strategic counsel as well as be hands-on driving communications initiatives. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer with strong experience in planning and executing high-profile communications programs, managing press relations and issues. This role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute communications strategies and initiatives to support Facebook’s product, partnerships, business, policy and consumer efforts in Indonesia
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams across the company, many of whom are in the US
  • Manage complex crisis and issues quickly and strategically
  • Provide comms counsel and support for business leaders
  • Drive positive press stories in mainstream, consumer and advertising trade media
  • Support the creation, editing and proofread communications materials to ensure quality and consistency
  • Organize press briefings, media sessions and events
  • Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum bachelors degree, post-graduate or professional degrees preferred
  • 10+ years professional experience, both agency and in-house preferred
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Has good media relationships and media relations skills
  • Ability to write and communicate in simple, clear narratives and messaging
  • Has a good grasp of communications strategies and aptitude in deploying them
  • Passion for Facebook is essential
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the Internet technology industry a plus
