Role Description

The APAC Regulatory Lead will be a senior member of our Regulatory Team and will be Fenergo’ s APAC regulatory lead, who is responsible for analyzing regulatory material for both new and existing regulations and translating into regulatory content through defining and implementing appropriate solutions within Fenergo’ s client lifecycle management product.

The APAC Regulatory Lead will take a proactive leadership role in the management of Fenergo’s regulatory client community within the APAC region.

This role requires good knowledge of regulations pertaining to client lifecycle management as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret regulatory documentation and transcribe into defined business requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Research and analysis into AML, OTC, Investor Protection, Tax and other regulatory topics to support the formulation and specification of Fenergo product requirements.
  • Act as Fenergo’ s Regulatory Subject Matter Expert to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take ownership and manage Fenergo’ s Client Engagement Model, though our community-based approach; Client Forums, Working Groups and Workshops; effectively managing the client relationship to drive active participation and generate industry best-practice solutions to regulatory challenges.
  • Support the creation and delivery of the 'Regulatory Update' deliverables to existing clients.
  • Work in partnership and close collaboration with our clients in understanding their regulatory needs and prescribing a solution.
  • Provide thought leadership, research and preparation of in-depth regulatory evaluation/papers and rulesets.
  • Support the management in scoping, scheduling and delivery of regulatory roadmap and releases.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define and refine business requirements arising from legislative requirements which will enable refinement of regulatory rules content in Fenergo.
  • Produce briefing documents and impact assessments that can be understood by business and technical colleagues.
  • Create detailed functional specification documentation for the Fenergo product in line with company and industry best practices.
  • Provide on-going support to the Product Management Team in delivery of product functionality.
  • Engagement with the Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing and Public Relations teams supporting new and existing client engagements and industry initiatives.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer across the organisation.

Requirements

Experience, Skills & Education

  • 7+ years within regulatory compliance with significant experience in Client Lifecycle Management (AML OTC Reform, Tax, Investor Protection).
  • Experience in the APAC regulatory landscape; ASIC, MAS, HKMA.
  • Demonstrable regulatory/compliance experience across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and translate regulatory documentation and translate into functional design which can be ‘operationalised’ by our clients.
  • Ability to identify solutions that satisfy relevant regulations while executing sound business judgement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to explain complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise and graphic rich style.
  • University degree required.
  • Software development lifecycle practices advantageous.
  • Recognised legal or regulatory qualification advantageous.
