The role:

An opportunity has arisen for an Analyst to provide support to the Senior Compliance Manager Frameworks, Systems and Monitoring and Head of Group Compliance in undertaking compliance monitoring and supervision in relation to customer onboarding and ongoing customer due diligence activities.

The role is hands-on at an operational level and exists to assist the Senior Compliance Manager to:

  • Conduct periodic due diligence visits to customer locations to assess customers comply with all the laws, regulations and policies
  • Scope, execute and report designed monitoring and supervision reviews using appropriate sampling methods and testing processes
  • Identify potential controls issues and concerns, determine the cause of issues, document and present findings to senior management and ensure management stakeholders develop and implement appropriate corrective actions on a timely basis
  • Review customer procedures to ensure adequate documentation and controls are in place
  • Assist in execution of compliance risk assessments
  • Managing queries raised in the compliance mailbox and otherwise by the Business Review and amend compliance documentation

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have previous compliance experience at the Advisor or Analyst level, ideally from the Financial Services industry. Further, your skill, knowledge and experience will include:

  • General understanding of the International Standard on Compliance Management Systems (CMS) and the relevance of monitoring and supervision in a CMS Framework
  • Experience in customer onboarding, KYC and ongoing due diligence activities
  • Knowledge of AML/CTF & Privacy obligations
  • Experience in conducting reviews, auditing and analysing data
  • Strong report writing skills, working knowledge of AML and sanctions monitoring solutions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to travel interstate
