PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Solution Delivery Centre (SDC) is responsible for driving customer success as ONE SAP by maximizing the adoption of SAP products across industries with accelerated ‘time-to-value', leveraging global scale and expertise through integrated right shore delivery, focusing on remote, factory services and outcome-based solutions that utilize robust processes and practices.  The SDC is a global team with centers in EMEA, India, Greater China, Latin America, North America, and ANZ. The SDC’s ANZ center is now based in Brisbane.

SAP SDC is increasingly being looked upon to drive ‘Globalization’ within SAP Consulting and is looking at extending its involvement across the engagement lifecycle. Banking & Financial Services is one of the key focus areas of the SDC ANZ center.

Selected candidates will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and implementing Banking & Financial Services using SAP Solutions. The role will require substantial interaction with customers and key stakeholders and may require extensive long term travel.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As the SAP Banking & Financial Services consultant you will:

  • Be actively involved in the preparation, conception, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects
  • Advise customer on Banking & Financial Services best practices
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, run, and manage blueprint workshops/meetings with internal and external clients  
  • Configure the requirements in SAP Banking & Financial Services
  • Define detailed blueprint for development requirements
  • Assisting in defining the scope of a project/opportunities, estimating efforts and project timelines
  • Participating in SOW creation and estimating under guidance from a Bid Manager
  • Providing a creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems
  • Delivering billable components that meet a customer's needs
  • Support the internal Consulting Practice with pre-sales support, spot consulting and internal projects and commit to the success of customers, partners, colleagues, and SAP

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • University degree in: Information Systems, Commerce, Finance, Cost Accountancy, Computer Science or similar degree.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP Banking & Financial Services
  • Expertise in the configuration and implementation of Banking & Financial Services solution and experience with SAP Activate project methodology and accelerators, including RDS and Best Practices
  • Well-developed customer focus
  • Fluent English and Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within the client company
  • Ability to coach/mentor younger colleagues into delivering quality projects and consulting services

Preferred skills / beneficial

  • SAP Certification S/4HANA in Financials(FI/CO) a plus
