Join the Datacom Advisory team and play a crucial role in leading large enterprise organisations through their transformation journey, across New Zealand and abroad. As a Consulting Director, you will be working closely with our most senior contacts across our key client base, combining consulting frameworks with your commercial expertise to assess, recommend and build their unique strategy and business architecture for the future. Once complete, you will have the satisfaction of overseeing Datacom’s technical delivery teams as they action your strategy and bringing it to life through technology solutions.

Skills and Experience

You will need to be people-centric, working closely with our customers’ key business and technology stakeholders to lead and advise them through their journey. As a seasoned practitioner in consulting with organisations on their strategy and roadmaps, you will familiar with managing a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels and challenging their thinking. You will also be a thought leader both internally and externally, regularly presenting at events, blogging and posting on social media.

Key skills:

· Consulting experience in helping customers align business and IT strategies, then translating into work packages in roadmaps

· Able to apply proven advisory frameworks and a process-driven approach to assessing and guiding customers through organisational and technical change

· An ability to translate desired strategic/business outcomes into high-level architecture/design and to present these to customers

· Excellent communication and facilitation skills to be able to work effectively across both the customers’ business and IT teams

· A track record of delivering transformation programmes and projects in leading roles

· A team player who enjoys working within a team of multi-disciplined consultants who are committed to helping our customers via the delivery of high value strategy and consulting engagements

· Deep knowledge of specific industry sector(s) that are relevant to their local region and considered a thought leader.

KPI's & Responsibilities

Key KPIs for the role are:

· Cost Neutral Billable Utilisation

Our Advisory practices are not targeted to make a profit, but we do aim to have each practice cover its own costs through a combination of billable and unbillable engagements.

· Revenue Pull-Through

We measure and target our Advisory practices to generate revenues for other parts of the wider Datacom organisation, through our consulting services.

· Thought Leadership

We aim to elevate Datacom’s reputation in market, by actively promoting our Advisory staff as thought leaders; through social media, digital channels, industry partnerships, events etc.

· Professional Development

We incentivise our Advisory staff to adopt open mindset and continuous learning, so that we can provide our customer with the most informed strategic consulting services in market.
