About the Role ...

Colcon are looking for a competent Contract Administrator to be responsible for  developing,negotiating and evaluating company projects on behalf of the organization.

They are responsible to oversee all  administration. This includes day to day scheduling, submissions to various Councils, liaising with in -house architects, review contract estimates, liaise with Suppliers, work with the Accounts team and manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders associated with the project. This position will suit a well-organised person who has a compelling attention to detail yet is able to complete tasks in a timely manner.

You will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the administration of construction projects from beginning to end
  • Manage budgeting and scheduling of Projects
  • Assemble accurate and well organised estimates and proposals for stipulation price,
    design-build, and construction
  • Develop detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation
  • Undertake comprehensive risk management analysis to minimise project risks
  • Act as the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organisation and timeline
  • Coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines including subcontractors,
    engineers, architects, and project team members
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes and statutory compliance.
  • Negotiate with external suppliers
  • Obtain appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for activities
  • Conduct site checks to monitor scheduled progress and quality standards
  • Analyse drawings & specifications and Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

About You ...

Experience & Qualifications 

  • Accredited qualification in Contract administration, project management and/or other construction-related qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in end to end construction management
  • Background in management, budgeting, analysis and applying business skills

Your Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment including
    coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve results
  • Demonstrated technical experience, including an understanding of new technologies
  • Well-versed in all construction methodologies, procedures, OH&S, other statutory requirements
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with both internal and external
    stakeholders
  • Effective time management skills to enable the efficient prioritisation of multiple
    tasks when working on competing activities and projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office and other industry-standard programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team through effective communication
