About the role:
The Automation Controller is responsible for the effective transition of processes from delivery management into a production environment, all subsequent scheduling and business planning, relationship management, issue management and change management.
The role will own a process portfolio that spans multiple teams, departments and lines of business. As a key member of the Process Automation team, the role will work closely with the Automation Manager, Delivery Lead and Process Modellers commencing in the User Acceptance Test Phase to build a detailed understanding of the process and business contacts.
The Automation Controller will assume direct responsibility for the process upon its deployment to Production whereby stability and performance must be maintained into the future.
The ability to rapidly assess problems and enact resolution strategies will be underpinned by clear and concise communications. The successful applicant’s experience in Process Automation, Stakeholder Engagement, Workforce Management and Problem Management will be commensurate to these broad and unique requirements.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Take ownership of automated processes and business outcomes from testing into production
  • Verify production readiness and coordinate the release of code from UAT to PROD environments
  • Monitor case age of items being processed by automations and ensure SLAs are being met. Schedule or assign extra resources as necessary to decrease queue volumes and maintain SLAs.
  • Ensure sufficient licenses available to perform all automated processes and raise requests for more licenses as required. Maximise license utilisation by optimally scheduling processes and resources.
  • Ensure sufficient hardware available to host resources required to perform all automated processes and raise requests for more hardware as required. A
  • Assume responsibility for stakeholder relationships at the conclusion of automated solution warranty period and effectively communicate with the business.
  • Use reporting dashboard tools and Blue Prism functionality to generate reports, providing relevant views for process owners, department managers, Risk, Finance, Internal Audit and the CoE.
  • Monitor output quality and exception rates of automated processes in production to ensure processes perform to design standards agreed with the business
  • Maintain an enhancements and/or issues register that is representative of the process and object change requirements necessary to improve quality and timeliness of automations that have been deployed to Production

Desired, but not essential, experience:

  • Blue Prism Foundation Course Completion
  • Process Modelling experience
  • Experience using graphical modelling tools such as Visio or similar to depict process flows
  • Experience managing resource allocation including negotiation of volume peaks and troughs
  • Broad understanding of applications utilized within Computershare
