Business Unit description
The Treasury/Chief Investment Office (TCIO)s core mandate is to manage JPMorgans liquidity, funding, structural interest rate and FX risks and executing JPMorgans capital action plan.

Details of the role
The Regulatory Liquidity team (Team) supports financial controls, regulatory and liquidity reporting across Asia Pacific within the broader TCIO Asia Finance team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual for an open role to join us on US regulatory and liquidity reporting within the Team. The Team is responsible for:
  • Support ongoing monitoring of TCIOs liquidity position, developing reporting and analytics to ensure liquidity position is properly reflected in various liquidity reports
  • Produce and substantiate various liquidity and available collaterals reporting to Head Office
  • Partner with Global TCIO Liquidity controllers, Portfolio Managers, Firmwide Asset Liabilities Management Analytics team, APAC Liquidity Management team and Liquidity Risk Oversight team to explain, investigate and resolve funding movements for individual LEs in APAC
  • Partner with location controllers in finance team and Firm-wide Financial Control Team, perform reconciliation to ensure integrity and accuracy of TCIO balance sheet and liquidity positions
  • Partner with Global TCIO Reporting team, Firm-wide External Reporting Controllers to ensure accuracy in ledger at global level and compliance of regulatory reporting requirements
  • Validate Risk Weighted Assets and provide analytics for management reporting and global PA team
  • Understand drivers and financial impacts, provide ad hoc business analysis for decision making support to senior management and business heads
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing of new systems, processes, products and initiatives
  • Contribute to New Business Initiatives Assessment including active participation to on-board a new product defining finance and liquidity work flow, analysis/advice around accounting booking strategies operational procedures
  • Participate and contribute to firm-wide liquidity and external reporting initiatives
  • Ongoing review of current processes, identify opportunities for improving efficiency controls and delivering tactical/strategic solutions
  • Understand contribute to various control frameworks, i.e. Control Self Assessment, Sarbanes Oxley, Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review and Business Control Committees
  • Provide support for any ad hoc requests and queries from various stakeholders

Qualifications
  • University graduate with relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting or Finance)
  • Minimum 2 years experience with top tier banks in product control or financial control functions and/or in Accounting firm
  • Member/ student member of professional bodies is a plus (e.g. CPA or CFA)

Skill-set requirements
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is adaptive, fast-learning, responsive and detail-minded with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Sound control mindset and understanding the control environment
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Recognition of the business and teams requirements and the willingness to step outside your "job description"
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and liquidity reporting, an advantage
