Job Description

The Finance Team in Asia GeoZone is looking for a Product Line Operation Controller, which will act as a Business Partner to the assigned GeoZone Product Line Manager (GBM), in order to drive business initiatives, growth strategy and profitability being responsible for overall financial and cash flow management.
The ideal candidate with show solid leadership skills and will help the team organize and define objectives, in line with the strategies of the organization. The position requires traveling within the Asia Geozone to support the various locations that the Product Lines operates in. The Operations Controller should expect to travel one week every second month.

+ Regular P&L reviews with clear understanding of factors responsible for product line performances, monitor results vs forecasts and recommend corrective actions where required.
+ Prepare monthly management report commentaries on variance vs prior and forecast or budget.
+ Detailed review of non-performing sub-PLs by country performance, business trends and forecasts on an ongoing basis, provide proactive advice to the GeoZone Business Manager on necessary actions that need to be taken to improve the overall financial health of the business or suspension of the businesses.
+ Prepare full Forecast and Budget for the specific Product line in collaboration with Operation teams; ensure forecast tools are updated on regular basis.
+ Headcount reviews with Business Managers and monitor personnel expenses as a percentage of revenue. Understand the organization of the Product lines at GeoZone and Country level.
+ Operating cash-flow Management:
+ Monitor Billing & Unbilled Receivables KPIs for the specific product line, understand the driving factors for any upward and downward trends;
+ Following Dispute Resolution, understands the potential P&L impact and prepare action plans and follow up reports;
+ Review contracts, prepare contract checklist review and understand the implications when assessing revenue recogntion;
+ Inventory & Asset Management :
+ Interface with Ops to ensure physical A&I counts and reconciliations performed in line with policy
+ Review on regular bases asset and inventory utilization, analyzing asset & inventory level and highlight potential risk of excess;
+ Review slow moving inventory level ; asset & Inventory not found items and Cycle counts reports;
+ Review and understand inventory exposures and liaise with the GBM to mitigate the effects on the results;
+ Review Asset in transit with proper understanding on status;
+ Highlight any potential exposures on Product Line Assets and Inventory to the GBMs and follow up to ensure these are minimized.
+ Participate in all tenders review meeting, provide financial advice, review and approve BSA (Bid summary analyses) and conduct forensic reviews of ongoing tenders.
+ Design & implement reports using business dashboard/scorecards solution to properly measure and monitor results vs objectives.
+ Provide guidance/training to operations on revenue recognition policies, financial statements (eg P&L, Balance Sheet) and any other key financial data or kpi’s
+ Ad hoc tasks or projects as required within the area of responsibility.
+ A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Finance& Accounting or similar position
+ Bachelor Degree with a major in Finance.
+ Strong written and verbal English language skills
+ Knowledge/experience of oil & gas industry.
+ Experienced in US monthly reporting and US GAAP accounting.
+ Knowledge/experience of Sarbanes Oxley and other SEC requirements.
+ Knowledge/experience of using JD Edwards and Hyperion.
