What you’ll do

In a few words…

In the healthcare industry many entities participate in order to provide services. These entities need to communicate and share information so that the services are offered in an organized and efficient manner. Your role as a COOP, Business Integration is to facilitate the interchange of information needed by the mentioned entities through processes and programs. (You’re sort of the optical fiber through which information gets transmitted and exchanged.) You will get intimate knowledge of the information shared, the regulations that govern the interchange of information, and the tools used to develop and execute the interchange of information.

This will provide a great opportunity for you to apply your existing knowledge to real-world use cases and gain insight into new technologies and methodologies that are commonly used in the healthcare and other industries. You will be able to collaborate and present ideas that can result in efficiencies and a better way of doing things. In other words, you get to help us be better.

The fundamentals for the job…

  • Responsible for the automation of data ingestion processes (Please don’t eat the data.) and data extraction processes. (Unfortunately data extracts cannot be used to bake cookies.)
  • Facilitate communication and information sharing between entities. (Like a medium in a séance.)
  • Data QA Framework
  • Work with business integration orchestration and automation tool

What you’re made of

The bold requirements…

  • Be an active student at least in third year and above enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • Computer proficiency (soft and hard like Tacos): experience in computer programming using at least 2 of the following: NET 1.1 / 2.0 / 3.5 / Core, ASP.NET, AJAX, VB / C#, JavaScript, Java, VB Script, HTML and XML - XSLT.
  • Exposure to databases that could be either relational or NOSQL databases, and database Design. Knowledge of Microsoft MSSQL Server including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and Stored Procedures would make your levels of awesome rise in our meters.
  • Familiar with Object‐Oriented languages and Design Patterns
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare, Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Benefit Management industries, Medicare Part D, and CMS regulations will get you special stickers and sparkly vibes of possibilities.
  • Analytical and Critical thinking, Accountability, Strategic thinking and planning, Software Development, Debugging, Working in teams (We call this, exponential awesomeness.)
  • You should have freaky attention to detail and be focused on Customer Service.
  • Experience working in SCRUM or other Agile methodologies would be awesome. Not necessary, but awesome!
  • You can communicate effectively (read, speak, write, argue, be properly offended, cancel people and celebrities, write code, and beyond) in both English and Spanish.

That something extra we´d love to see…

  1. Analytical - You wear a spyglass on your sleeve, examining past, present, and possible futures more intensely than Dr. Strange. Your frequent overanalyzing is one of your trademarks and it helps you foresee things to your advantage.
  2. Creative - When it comes to ideas, you're Mary Poppins' bag (bottomless). While some people are stuck asking why, you've already come up with 3 solutions and have moved on to another subject. Writer's block: What is that?
  3. Innovator - You’re basically an idea machine, threading connections between seemingly disparate phenomena with ease and sewing possibilities out of them. Your well of creativity is bottomless.
  4. Inquisitive - Curiosity killed the cat and lucky you that you have 9 lives and counting. You like to get to the bottom of things and turn them over. Learning is fun and should never stop.
  5. Passionate - You fall in love with ideas and projects, which is why you put your heart into everything you do and add a little extra. Your positive energy boosts the team and infuses your efforts with an iron will. The record shows you can sell a lighter to the Devil.

The above description is not intended to limit the scope of the job or to exclude other duties not mentioned. It is absolutely not a final set of specifications for the position. It’s simply meant to give readers an idea of what the role entails.
