EHS&S Coordinator Environmental

Position Summary

Our future colleague in the EHS+S Department will be a critical contributor to safety, environmental and sustainability excellence in our Grossenbrode plant. This position gives you the opportunity to apply a broad range of skills and competencies to succeed.

Please note that this position is for a 2 years temporary contract.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the long & short-term strategy for EHS&S which fosters the plant strategy in the best way
• Support EHS&S Manager developing internal communication by publishing frequent EHS&S results, accidents, near misses etc.
• Contribute to build and maintain trustful relationship to environmental and safety authority through frequent contact, early involvement and open communication

· Cooperate with corporate and EMEA EHS&S Resources

· Support to maintain the management systems ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OHSAS 18001

· General support in following environmental topics:

o Development and maintenance the environmental part of the Integrated Management System (IMS) manual including responsibility for planning and conducting audits in all areas of CP Kelco Germany GmbH

o Control of government regulations on air pollution (Clean Air Act, Kyoto), for discharges (WHG, LWG), legislation on waste (Kreislaufwirtschaftsgesetz) and emission law (BImSchG). Develop official reports to authorities in collaboration with technical agencies, general emission tests (dust, IPA,CO2, sludge etc.)

o Creation of legal required statistics (Statistical Office SH) in environment. Assistance in the disposal of hazardous waste.

• Member of the local HAZOP Team
• Member of the local Safety and Environmental Committee
• Lead EHS&S projects in the EHS&S department

Experience

• About 2 years of experience in EHS+S in an industrial environment would be ideal
• We will also consider graduates who are looking for their first full-time position after getting their degree

Education and Language skills

• MSc. In Environmental, Health, Safety Management and Sustainability, ideally combined with an exposure and experience in the Food Industry
• Fluent (in writing and verbally) in German on a high level (minimum C1 but preferably C2 of CEFRL*)
• Fluent (in writing and verbally) in English (minimum B1 of CEFRL*)
